I hope so, Im gonna go over the whole area, with the blood loss I’m confident he’s gonna die. Just wish it ended sooner. I’m a die hard I’ll look for a couple days.

I'm gonna hunt in the morning and I think that's going to be it for this trip. I was going to stay until Sunday but the forecast is for heavy rain and 40mph winds. I still say I probably blew my one and only opportunity last night

Heading to my MI public spot in the morning.

My wife has wanted to make a deer rug for awhile. I told her i saw this young buck with a dark dorsal stripe and very dark hair. Now i have instructions to fill my tag with that buck.

The good thing about doing that is i can then use my vacation time Sunday through Wednesday to go after the big boy here.

Gonna be sun up to sun down sits. Oh my acking back. .will be worth it if i can slip an arrow between his ribs and wrap my hands on those antlers.

Well good luck. I love how the wives think it can be so easy at times.

Well. Absolutely nothing for me tonight. Shouldn’t have moved. Lol Not sure when I will hunt again. That was fun though. Good little 3 day hunting vacation!

Isn't that tough with the hollow hair? Won't it just fall out?

Have to tan the hide. She works with a friend whose husband is a taxidermist.

They do all sorts of hides into rugs. Bear, deer, bob cat, zebra. Hell a guy wanted a skunk rug. Lol

    Well, tomorrow is rifle opener.

Rifle or bow? I'll likely be sitting in pines.

Had another lone deer come in from behind me at last light and came to about 25 yds. With no shot. Couldn’t tell if it was a doe or young buck. It eventually turned back around and went the way it came from. I’ll be out in the same stand tomorrow morning.
