    So I ruined somebody’s hunt this morning.

    I’m working on an airfield in Maine, doing crack repair on the runway.
    Well at 6:45 as im going down the RWY with my machine I notice a ground blind in the woods about 80 yards away. A few moments later a guy pops out and starts walking back to his truck. Looked kinda pissed. Sorry pal!

    You working wont stop them. If they are in that area they are used to the noise

    If i knew this weather was coming i wouldn't of shot that smaller buck. 34 degrees and a 4 mph wind. Even being tagged out im still thinking about going to the woods.

    MN - the buck looks sweeeet in your hands. What a great story.

    Fellas - so cool that you guys are getting together to hunt. As a teacher, one of the things my profession doesn't allow me to easily do, I cannot really take a week or more off for any kind of trip. I am accruing preference points for some of the trips I'd like to take. Enjoy yourselves.

    So I just pulled the card from the camera that’s 20yds away and I don’t have any shooters so I’m moving stands probably 1300yds away. I will get the card next to that stand on the way in and see.

    All set up on the ridge I was at the other day. Really feels like a killing kind of day with the front a few hours away. I grabbed the wrong treestand umbrella... the one that doesn’t have the tree screw in piece. Good luck everyone!!
