    6:30 in the morning, not a deer in site. Woods are looking like a ghost town on a moonless rutting day.

    Good buddy of mine who retired this year said he just shot a nice buck. So happy for him!

    100yrds out caught tail end of single deer. Then it disappeared behind the trees. I hear grunting behind me.
    So time to think...why the exodus of deer?.. Duh!!! The new deer farm with a bunch of breeding doe that opened up 2 yrs ago. A mile and a half away....hhhhmmm?
