I had the worst morning ever i left at 11am had enough...

First im perfectly on time had a great breakfast sandwich from the deli/gas station on the way out at 430 this morning but thats the good part...!

Get to my uncle property start heading out to my finger ridges which i have to cross a stream to get to except the fact i fell face first right in now im soaked get acrossed im ringing out my wet ass hunting cloths then i pickup my bow just to see i forgot to attach my quiver (GREAT)...! So back to the truck i go get there put on a dry brown underarmer hoodie (only thing i had)... head back out crossed the stream i fall again lol just on my 1 knee tho! Ring my self back out best i can... get to my spot climbing up with the climber get all settled in start pulling up my bow the clip i had tied on my pullup rope some how comes undone my bow falls to the floor now im pist climb back down retie rope ok now im in just breaking daylight now. (Put nice scratch in my bow...FUK) So these ridges are close to the nieghbors farm property nice piece... just getting lite enough to see all of a sudden i hear BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM nearly jumped out of the tree... scared the crap out of me... ends up being duck hunters on the nieghbors farm pond...(farmer gave a group of guys permission) joy im thinking.... so time goes on 1 doe runs by after another shot after that i had enough... packed up moved to other side of property get up and in and finally things are looking good as im seeing 4 doe feeding off to the right about 90 yards off then bed down. So an hour passed i see the 4 doe hop up and run directly towards me and keep going... im looking and what do i see 2 dogs roaming through anyway they disappear after that i dont see anything else... at 11 i had enough packed up and headed out! Got back to truck striped down to my boxers and drove home worst morning ive ever had...

OMG I WAS COLD AT FIRST LITE! Thank got for the 74 degrees today leaving...

Dont worry shot my bow still right on the money after about an 8ft drop

Holy chit Mike...., what a horrible morning.

Idda been mentally outta the game long before you did.

Seems like when 1 thing goes wrong, something else will follow.

No arrows launched today but seen a pile of deer even in these crazy high temps n winds.

My day wasn’t as bad as Mike’s. Spent the day on the phone with a couple CPOs trying to get rid of a guy from Michigan who’s driving around shooting deer out of his truck window with a crossbow.
One of the best reasons to outlaw them IMO.

I am in lower michigan. We have had hot dry weather for a week now. Deer movement is sporadic. Rifle season opens here the 15h. 1 week left to get it done

I sat this morning for 1 hour. I sat as close to the bedding area as I dare. Did not see a deer.
Went back to the cabin, fired up the generator (loud), was hell bent on cleaning up the place, even washed the windows:busted:.
Starting about 1/2 after I got going, deer came outta the woodwork.
Had em on all sides of me. Was tough getting things done while watching them cruise around.
Yesterday while cleaning, I found a few month old loaf of bread. I threw it out the window for squirrel n birds.
When I came back from this mornings sit, I looked out the window a noticed leaves kicked up on top of the snow and all the bread was gone.
Future examination reveled quite a few deer came in and ate the bread. Some walked within 3 feet of my cabin. Didnt think a deer would eat bread.?
Anyway, I'm done for a few days. Burnt out. Had a great time, seen piles of deer, passed on several bucks including a couple nice but young ones.
Recharge, get some work done and maybe go back this weekend for another 3_4 day stint.
One of the best "ruts" I've ever seen at my cabin. Lots of grunting n chasing. Good times.

Well, 6 does and 5 bucks, but nothing to burn my last Illinois buck tag on.
I’ll add another 50 points before the week’s over.

I'm on a few days break. I cruise a bit in the morning and evening. Its quite unreal the amount of dandys I've seen doing so..
I plan on another go round at my cabin fri evening. May be a 4_5 day deal.
No top end score wise bucks but a couple old brutes I'd love to tag..
