Man what is this weather pattern? Calling for mid to high 70s over the next few days. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
No time to catchup. I decided to leaf blow my gun area. Haven't been in there all season got 1/3 done checked those cams. They should have been dead, but few pics of NOTHING!!! mind you one near a single dropping oak. So all the deer pics all summer, more raccoon and fox than deer, squirrel and rabbits , turkey, opossum, and yotes. Nothing on either cam I checked.. The clover plots zip, the new blind that you saw had a bunch of deer and buck nothing. 6 cams with zero movement on 40 of 73 acres. 2 that haven't been touched since well before season . WTH is going on? Never in 25 plus years even in a wild west gun season have I seen this. One lone 4 point walking through at garden stand the other day thats it for days on those cams. I should at least be seeing rabbits and coons in the clover. Fox hunting the rabbits and and rodents.....
Ya know a couple years ago I shot a morning doe and she dropped 60 yrds away in sight. I sat still because I still had a buck tag. 4 different buck came in and tried their darnest to breed that doe. I had to get down to save the meat from further tenderizing....
Well, I didn't see a thing this morning. It really wasn't a surprise since we had to drag Josh's buck right by my tree last night. I climbed down at 8:00 and moved my climber about 500 yards down the finger of the ridge I'm on and off to one side of an old dim road. We'll see what happens this evening. Then Josh and I went and scouted a couple of places. We found quite a bit of good sign. Driving in on another road we watched a nice 8 point chase a doe right up to the road in front of us. Back at camp now. I updated the scorecard and now I'm gonna kick back and enjoy the sound of the wind through the forest. I don't plan on getting back out there until around 2:00 or 3:00. I think it's about time for me to put a buck on the ground.
I hear you! It does suck, and it makes the bugs unbearable, literally!!! On two occasions I HAD to use my head net to stay on stand! I hate having to use it, because it does make your vision much less crisp, but it allows you to laugh at the bugs.
Hot doe came hauling through, I yelled at that big ass buck and he paid no attention to me. So damn close.
Saw zip over 5 hrs. Its smoking hot. Did cut some nice tracks out of a little 1/2 acre grass patch on the creek bed. One entrance and exit trail with big tracks. Through out a cam...will let it run for a long time as I have no idea how those deer use that low bottom area.
Back at the house after that let down morning. It's warm. Busch light and frozen pizza for lunch because I have no tenderloins. Dammit Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

I gotta bail at 1 unfortunately. My kid couldn’t come home between school and work for the dogs, so I gotta go let them out and feed them. My wife is off tomorrow and is on board for me being out here all day.
Not too shabby and on the cheap. The less I spend on actual food the easier to explain that new cell cam that will be delivered to my porch tomorrow. I know I know, I'm smart. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
