This is pure country out here. Sounds of metal getting its butt kicked at sun up, people yelling at their cows, and then the yellers in the woods..."hey Martha!".

Live from work: I keep peeing in this dude's scrapes, and every morning he opens a new one next to it. Poor little feller!

I don't think so....Hey he was raised by a typical old school hunter. Gun only, driving around with a pickup bed filled with orange clad drivers. Gun season always back then pretty much very cold . When not, it was sitting at camp drinking beer and playing cards. Hunting was , more a social event...not serious " hunting".
My moms family hunted differently, guys I went hunting with before we were married were go in walking slow and stalk gun hunters. I trained myself on bow hunting and I have always, from little, been an outdoors person and preferably a loner.
So he has a right to not understand, what he's never done, without criticism.

That 6 came back. He was with a big one. Caught a glimpse of him for a second about 100yds away. He’s big. Not sure if he’s in there with a doe or what.

Looking outside with all the clouds, I'm regretting not getting into the woods this morning! It would have been a quiet entry. I haven't been doing morning/ dark to dark hunts because from what I've been seeing, it doesn't warrant that kind of dedication. My woods just aren't what they were even 5 or 6 years ago. I saw a few small bucks and a couple doe the last three days of Oct, but my last three sits here in Nov I've seen nothing at all. That just shouldn't be the case in the prime of the rut! Hell, I haven't even heard a buck grunt yet! lol

She pulled a Houdini. Amazing how they can disappear in the open. So much golden rod out there. She may have laid down in it.

Spike and a 3pt came from where the big one is. Has to have a doe in there. Kicking everyone out.

So thick with willows I can’t see in there good.

Got a late start this morning because I had to work last night but once I got in the tree I was immediately covered in deer.
Had 3 does with a smaller 8 pushing them around and grunting. Then heard one grunting to the east and had a shooter 10 go by just out of my comfort zone. He pushed the other deer around for awhile then walked off to the north
Then a fork horn walked through before one of the does gave me a shot I couldn’t pass. She went down in sight. Now that the doe tag is filled and I have meat in the freezer it’s time to hunt the big boys.
