Property owner just rolled by on the tractor at 80 yards. I can already hear a deer eating acorns behind the blind.
I can't believe I'm contemplating not going out. But Lord..., 40 mph winds. Got leaves blowing up into funnels.
Back on stand where I was opened, October 1, and saw a nice 8. I sure hope Virginia gets another shot on the buck - that would be a heck of a story. Just like others, I doubt I'll get out tomorrow. Winds are predicted to be sustained over 20 with gusts 40-50.
Hey VS. You had 1 up joe today. Where's that bad juju going next. You both need to get chit fac d and get rid of it
I'm back up. Not sure about this and the wind is still crazy. At least it's pretty much steady in direction. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I grunted. He responded and started up the draw and cut my wind. He slinked out of there. Huge main beams. Been out here since 545...2 more hrs. Need to get my mind right if another buck presents a shot.
Damn man. Sorry to hear that! Enjoy that drink tonight. Not even November yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dammit VS ! That sucks for the amount of time you put in. I am gonna go sit but not for a while. Itll be to tough to "weather" these conditions for a 3 hour sit. Gets dark at bout 630. Will sneak into a stand on the riverbank ju s t 60 yards from my cabin about 5ish. I'll be surprised if I even see a deer with it freeking howling like this.
Doe popped out in field at 80. Not a good look at size yet. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just grunted in this pretty 2.5 year old 8pt to 18 yards. I knew I wasn’t going to shoot as soon as I saw him pop out of the woods but still got my heart racing! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
That is awesome. He’s standing there in the perfect position to. Just asking to get drilled right in the boiler room.
