Sorry to hear that your MIL passed. No worries about the delay, family always comes first, especially at times like this.
Thanks guys, it was just brought to my attention that first buck of the year is the one that goes into the contest so I will get it scored and entered in the next day or two. Sorry about the mix up, I guess it would help if I read the rules.
He's entered boys! Another 137 7/8 inches. Sorry again about the delay. Will put a doe on the board sometime.
Great buck. Congrats. I myself have fought with target panic. Ive got to touching arrows practicing, but in the field is a hole new thing. Sorry to hear about the mother in law. We just had the year anniversary of my father in law passing away. Not an easy thing. G9d bless you and your family hope everyone can find their new normals.
Alright, alright, alright! All of team 11's kills have finally been entered. You have a 311" lead on team 12 in third place and a 235" lead on team 1 in second place. Enjoy it while it lasts. Strong out of the gate but short on stamina. The rut hasn't even started yet. Seriously, you guys are doing great. It's been a privilege trying to keep up with your kills on the scorecard. Keep on charging, and hang in there. Your Captain will kill one eventually, even if I have to put him on the buck myself.
I am going to hold you to that. I would have made it 7 bucks on Saturday morning if that 8 point would have taken two more steps into my shooting lane. If the doe had stuck around for another three Minutes to get to shooting light I would have done both in about 45 minutes. Such is bowhunting; a game of inches and split seconds between heartbreak and hero shots.
I saw that post of yours in the LFTS thread Adam. Believe me, I know the feeling. The difference for me so far this season between heartbreak and hero shots was my failure to nock an arrow when I climbed my tree in the dark one morning earlier this month. It's all just a game - a big, beautiful, gut wrenching, heart breaking, exhilarating and sometimes life changing game. All we can do is play along and hope for the best. I'll be checking in with you soon.
So i dropped the daughter of at grandmas tonight and seen him. That big 8 is still alive. Crooked brow confirmed its him to me. Phone was burried in my pocket. He is gorgeous prolly 145 ish almost identical sides and chocolate like rack. Hopefully all goes well with mom and baby and may work on sneaking in on him next week. Talking about this guy. Fyi my wife is not happy and told me i cant afford another mount. Hahaha
