Sry been kinda absent lately... been a rough season for me. My son just shot a good one on Saturday but unable to find blood anywhere... we looked for hours on Sunday to no avail. Only fat and a little muscle/blood on the arrow... he took it well but I’m worried I haven’t seen him back on camera since. Oh well. Anywho hopefully rest of the team is doing well. Made it out for about an hour tonight and had this little guy at about 5 yards. He was starting to stink. Have the next three days off for hunting. Not sure how much hunting I will get tomorrow because I am going tracking in the morning. Buddy shot a buck tonight and hit him back so we are letting him lay overnight. First track job was a success. Don't know if we would have found the deer with a dog. Deer went roughly 200 yards without much blood. Shot hit just in front of the right hip and came out the left leg. My buddy was super happy that we found him. It is his biggest with a bow. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Ok men and women, it is go time here in Kansas. It has snowed, sleeted, iced and rained since Monday. It is supposed to clear off today around noon. I will be heading into the ground blind and see whats up and moving. Its time the big boys start to cruise! I will be breaking out the horns and giving it hell from now till December. This is the part of the year that I love and my wife hates. I do give her Friday evenings but that's about it. I need to get my eyes on a good one. #1 goal is to get my son on something. #2 goal is to shoot something 140 or better. I want to apologize to my employer first and foremost. I will miss work frequently throughout November. Yes I know I have 2 weeks off around thanksgiving but the deer don't always play by my schedule. 2nd, my days at work will be planning my next spot, checking trail camera pictures and imagining situations. I hope everyone sitting in nature gets to take in the true beauty of whats there. The birds, critters, trees and even squirrels. I hope a situation presents itself that takes your heart days to quit pounding. Get after them and stay SAFE!
Called off work so I could be in the stand tomorrow and Monday. We are getting first snow of the year and a 20 degree temp drop. Hoping to put something down over the weekend Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’ve been hitting it hard. Had a 4pt cruising and chasing last night. Nothing but a fawn this morning. She was bleating the entire time so that tells me shes looking for mom (likely being chased). Rut is almost full go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s time for some deer pics in this thread that actually belong to us!!! Let’s go! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Passed this little 8 tonight at 10yds. Had a bigger 8 that wouldn’t commit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well first sit of the year this morning, saw 9 and passed a decent 8 hoping for something bigger. Had a little spike buck chasing a doe at about 9 o’clock! Good movement hopefully it keeps up tonight!
BBD!! Happy he stuck around long enough for me to put my release on and nick an arrow!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just got in the stand and set my bow on the hanger, didn’t have release on or an arrow nocked. I looked to my left and seen his shadow coming through the woods! I scrambled to get my release on and nocked an arrow quick and smoked him! thought it was 20 shot might have been a little low but he only went about 100yds! He piled out in the middle of a plowed greasy field not a fun drag! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
