Been out of it this year and haven't checked in much, give me the cliff note version of what I missed from 1-353 lol.... Hope everyone has been doing well! I had my new born baby boy back in August so just trying to get adjusted to life as a dad. I'll be in the stand this weekend though, it's time to put some meat in the freezer since I lost all of mine from hurricane Laura this year!.. KJ
Some people caught some deer, some people haven't. There, all caught up. LOL LC is just tearing up the woods. The deer are SCARED!
Just got set up. Sitting in a new stand today. Land owner said there’s a giant here Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Nope., aint happening. Was walking out of the house and the wind took my hat off. I'm changing plans.
Out in the rain. Should stop soon. I haven't sat in this stand yet. I've been waiting for a SW wind, which is our predominant wind. Loggers were in here a few weeks ago. Looks like they opened some shooting lanes. Bucks should be on the move! So excited.
All set up. Same stand I killed my buck out of last yr on the second hunt. First sit in it of the year. Should be a decent hunt with the conditions. Going to probably rattle some - see what comes out. I’ve got 2 target deer I’m after and they use this corridor on occasion.
I’ve been out of the loop but I’m now all caught up. Got back from Ohio on Saturday afternoon. Lots of deer seen including 2 shooters that wouldn’t cooperate. I have not hunted Michigan since I killed my buck on October 5th. First sit in this stand for the year, I’m looking for 1 buck in particular that’s kind of fell off the radar. If it’s not him a buck has to be 140+. Good luck PM crew! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Man these conditions are just perfect... Spit rain all day. can hear the drops on the trees when the wind slightly blows. I keep checking the wind and it’s damn near perfect for this stand tonight. They write books about this shi*
Walked 2 miles looking for sign. Nothing. Started hearing coyotes barking and howling on my back trail. Kept getting louder. Heard something coming so I nocked an arrow and see a deer come by at 40 at warp speed followed by 2 black coyotes. No shot. Wandered another half mile. 0 sign. Then I found an old homestead on a thin ridge with some trails..but 0 buck sign. I guess a anything can happen but this is one of those sits where I'm out of it. Only chance I have this place is so bad no one has hunted it and maybe a buck will walk in and I can surprise him. At least its beautiful out here and I'm not working. Dropped my buddy off by what appeared to be smaller buck sign. Hope he connects. We couldn't find his doe. It was a muscle hit. Good luck Joe!
Good luck Brett! You never know. I just had 2 hikers walk through about 60 yards in front of me. Wayyyy off the trail. Scratch this spot off the list.
Just had one come in, snort wheezed to get him to stop, he sat there for a few minutes behind a tree then took off. Never really got a good luck at him Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
