Back at it this morning. Took the boy this morning first time morning deer hunt. We seen five does as we pulled up. Drove right past them and they didn’t even care.

Just checking in... we hunted yesterday evening and this morning with no luck. Headed back out for our last evening sit. We got this evening and tomorrow morning left of the hunt. If it’s brown it’s down now lol

I cant quote on my phone for some reason but I love my saddle. The only way I'm falling is if the tree comes down

I had a scare with my climber last year and I haven’t been back in it yet. I got a guy interested in trading me for a saddle set up. If he follows thru I will definitely do it!

I've had scares in just about all stands. In fact I'm damn near terrified of heights. I love the saddle because I can only be 10 ft in the air at platform height, yet still be effective because im hiding out of sight behind the tree. If you wish, you can give me a call and ill share my saddle knowledge

I may take ya up on that. I pulled the trigger tonight and drove an hour and a half to make the trade. Tethrd phantom with 3 hawk sticks and platform. No more climber. [IMG]

You did good if that was a straight up trade. You could sell all that now used for 5 - 600

I hunted Fri - Sun. Friday was by far my best hunt, as soon as the rain stopped I got into my stand and within 30 mins had two shooter bucks in view. The bigger of the two stuck around chasing does for 3 hours. Not the hardcore tounge hanging out chasing but chasing none the less. I had my #2 shooter at 25yrds broadside but he was on the wrong side of a fence. He even bedded down to rub it in. That was a really fun hunt, watching him chase and grunt and interact with the does.

I went back to the same stand that next evening and he was back at it again 15mins before legal. I just need one of those does to squit through the fence and drag him along.

Sunday night I didn't have a good wind for that spot so I sat a ground blind on the other side of the farm. I drew back on a doe but she was only 10 yrds from the blind, she spooked a hair when I drew and it didn't work out. The deer are around, I just haven't connected yet.

Yep. Agreed. That is quite the setup. Not just the basics but he included the backband, HYS strap, SYS haulers and the Predator pack! Dude, you made out. You must have had quite the stand to trade him with. Like Josh said, you could sell all that right now for an easy $500-$600 all day.

There will be no selling lol I tried it tonight from ground on teather then one stick up. Have to figure out how to lock down platform like sticks. Other then that I feel 10 times safer then in my ladder stand. And for never using sticks before I feel like I’ve been missing out. I got this week to get the basics down then next week it’s game on all week!
