Food plot is working. Pretty neat for me bc this was a pretty nice motocross practice track and there isn’t any top soil left to speak of. Going to ring a bunch of beaches in late winter to open up the canopy for next year
I’m settled in. Hunting from ground tucked in some overgrowth. 25-40 mph winds so glad I’m on the ground. Have a trail about 15 yds in front and a fresh scrape 20 yds to my left. Never shot anything with a bow on the ground so not much getting a pass. Hoping I can pull this off with out getting busted.
Nothing for me yesterday. Didn’t see a deer. Pulled card from trail camera that’s set up on same trail and had this guy a couple days ago. Hoping to meet up with him during the rut
Hitting some public this evening. We’re going in blind. I’m going to pretend something is bedding on this bench. Cut beans in the field, SW wind.
Worked at the farm all weekend. Too tired to hunt this evening. Will get a few evening hunts in from now till Halloween weekend. Then I’m off from November 6 - November 16

Good Job Galigerat! I bow hunted Kentucky's early Muzzy season last weekend. I saw way too many does and no bucks. I did get a shooter on a trail cam I forgot was out.

I'm kind of in the same boat. In previous years, there's been great buck sign in my area at this time of year and nothing yet this year. I'm holding hope but it is very concerning now getting into the back half of October.
I hate to say it boys but we gotta start letting some arrows fly and dropping some venison. I’ll be headed down this weekend to try and pull my weight. I’ve got 4-5 decent bucks on cam pretty consistently. (125-150) my public land standard, and I like my chances. I was feeling pretty good about that and not having to worry about asking the “what if that guy shows up question” ..... until this morning. Got a buck this morning on cam pushing 180” Oh well.
