Adding- lost two friends who had a lifetime of health issues that all went back to smoking. Never felt the need to smoke anything. Always thought of firefighters who were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Smoke must not be good for you.
Good work Greg! Both my grandparents on my moms side died when I was 7 from smoking related stuff. It left an impression on me.
I despise cigarettes , always have and will ... never smoked in school or the Marines nor afterwards ... I valued my lungs for running and my health ... I saw the damage smoking did to others I have known, watched parents and relatives die of lung cancer.. there is no smoking in my house or vehicles, hell, I hate going over to others house's who smoke as the stench is overwhelming from those things ..... those that I know now and smoke at my age look like crap, I still look like I'm in my 40's ... my doctor is impressed with my health, I tell her I eat right, get my 8 hrs sleep(except during deer season) exercise/run and have never smoked .... if YOU smoke now, STOP ... please stop .. congrats to those that have 'kicked the habit' ...
Pancreatic cancer... Father beat mouth cancer from smoking to die of pancreatic cancer.....from smoking. People think of the lung and oral cancers and not all the other health issues smokers are prone to.
I know several people that beat the addiction to nicotine through hypnosis. It seems to work really well for a lot of people. Some of you that really want and need to quit, should try it. My Dad was a heavy smoker when I was young and it was so disgusting to me, that I never had a desire to start. He died at 66.
Everyone in my immediate family smoked. They have all quit. I never did. I thank sports for that. We would lose a third of our season if we broke training rules. Second offense was a full season lost.
I don't want to get into the physiology but if you have asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or are overweight, smoking is especially bad for you. It will enhance the risks of everyone of those conditions and make them worse. Sent from my RCT6703W13 using Tapatalk
Rush Limbaugh told his bad news today ..... his lung cancer is no longer in remission .... smh .... :0( https://www.foxnews.com/media/cance...can-no-longer-deny-hes-under-a-death-sentence
Congrats, Greg! That's great. I wish more could follow suit as I have watched my Mother fight lung cancer the last two years (who still hasn't quit smoking) - and it breaks my heart.
