I don't plan on shooting anything under 3.5yo/120 until late in the season if I still got any empty freezer. I am really hoping to drop a doe opening weekend so as to focus on mature bucks after that. If I do drop one over 120 that will be my entry regardless. Considering my chances of dropping one bigger than that are very small.
Checking in I’m so far behind this year I just hope I get a shot opportunity at a buck with my bow this year. Haven’t shot anything with my bow since I shot a 9 point back in ‘17 so I’m due.

Just busting some chops. I've been following along on the LFTS thread. Holt I too have been getting whooped. I had an encounter with a mature buck Friday night but right at last light. The pressure on public land here in Michigan has been incredible. I have seen more guys this year then I have in the last 3 yrs combined.
I heard on the radio earlier this week that hunting license sales have increased a lot this year. Same with spring Turkey. I’m fortunate to have a small piece of private to hunt in SW MI. I’ve only been out hunting twice and have yet to see a deer on hoof. Been getting a couple nice bucks on trail camera though
Last I heard was 30% increase in sales so far over the same time period and we haven't even hit the busiest sales week yet. I will be curious to see what the final number end up at.
