Going to head out at 2:30 to the lease. Planing to hunt a stand that I have killed several deer from. Got a great wind for it tonight! Feeling pumped about it. I'll be LFTS around 4.
I’m up and out as well. Weather isn’t ideal but you never know. I might even wack another doe if the opportunity presents itself. I have 10 days off during the rut and will hit it hard then. Shooter bucks have been MIA on the cell cams. I will start thinking about getting my buck decoy out next week depending on the weather. good luck guys!
Hung cameras over. 2 scrapes that I always get good. Bucks pics off of on the way in. Doctored each one up with some stank....be back to check them next time I hunt back here.
We pulled cards and moved a blind today. Decent 2021 buck is showing up. I put out doe in heat, just to mess with their heads.
Gonna take off work at 10 am this morning and head down to the family farm. I plan to hunt the new tree house I have been working on. We are suppose to have light S-SW wind. Should be a could day to kill a doe! I'll go LFTS after I get settled in. That should be around 11 AM..
My plan is to be out Saturday morning for the first freeze. 50 points would put us back in the running.
No doubt, let the air out of one (or two). I'm hoping to get some time in the tree this weekend. Weather looks good on Saturday, Sunday looks a little sketchy. I had a shooter on camera last night a last light so who knows. Good luck to those getting out.
3hrs away from the property! Buddy just sent me this off our property, can’t tell if that is a drop tine or debris but either way I’m stoked!
Ran over to the lease at lunch time today and pulled the chip by the ground blind. I'm getting consistent movement it's just in the dark. Looks like there is a doe and two yearling using it on a regular basis. Time stamps show they keep getting later and later on the arrival at the spot. Yesterday showed them there at 7:09 am. another week and it might be time to make a morning set there for the doe. Also had a small 8 point there last night around 10:30 pm . He might push 90 inches. Not what I'm looking for. Trying to decide if I should hunt this evening or just wait till tomorrow. Tomorrow they are calling for South winds 12-17... I don't mind hunting in the wind as long as it's not 20 + mph.
Headed out in about 30 minutes. Going over to the river bottom lease to give it a go. Got to shed some blood and get on the board.....
Been seeing a bunch of does and spikes running around, haven’t gotten a doe to give me a good shot yet but hopefully tomorrow I can make it happen!
I didn't hunt this morning. Decided to hunt this evening when i thought the wind would be favorable. This is what was there this morning while I was getting groceries!
