A few years ago I tried a phone mount so I could try to get footage of my shot impact. It was cheap plastic and broke after a couple of hunts. Has anyone tried this one, it is metal a looks to be way more solid? I am too cheap to pay for a tactacam or something similar. I have no interest in filming my hunts, just trying to have some footage to judge my shot and follow up actions better when I don't see the deer go down. It seems to be work decently and is cheaper than the last one I tried. https://www.midwestorion.com/products/cell-phone-bow-video-camera-mount
Do you remember which one you have? I have one i just got this year but I haven't hardly played with it yet. I was gona shoot with it this weekend. I'll share my experience with it. Its not a velcro one but it doesn't seem cheap either. Sent from my SM-G981V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I have one too, but haven’t ever messed with it. A non hunting friend got it for me, not realizing Idaho doesn’t allow anything electronic to be mounted to a bow. It attaches over the direct mount sight location, I’d need to get longer bolts that would go through both the holder and the sight if I remember right.
I bought this one a few years ago. It only held my phone if my phone was out of its protective case. I didn't like that, so I never hunted with it. I didn't like the idea of dropping an unprotected phone out of the tree. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/s4gear-jackknife-smartphone-bow-mount
