Well guys I’m by myself so no good hero shots or anything like that, but he’s down! 11 pointer was running around in the food plot by himself and then came through the woods on the same path a doe and fawn had walked about 30 minutes earlier. Seemed like he was getting a bit antsy with the cooler weather. Either way I’m stoked as this was my first sit of the year.

Got a couple of better pics and the head is off for a euro mount. I hope everyone is having some sightings and having a good time out in the woods. I won’t be able to shoot another buck until rifle season but I may be out before then with the bow to try and get a doe down.
Hey Guys. checking in from MN! Second sit of the year only. Our snowstorm covered up my food plots so the deer are going to have to do some digging. Nothing big on camera yet but hope to tag a doe soon. Waiting for Mr. Big to show up!

Had two shooters in front of me yesterday morning and couldn't get to full draw. Worried that with gun season starting next Saturday my target bucks will be quickly gone in this heavily hunted area. I was extremely close to letting on fly last night on the ground without a blind. I had a change of plans after I hung my stand and didn’t like it so I went and sat on the ground. Left a little ground and scent and the old wise doe got a little wary. Went full draw when she was at 25 and then she spooked. Last day of bow only here is Texas. I stuck with the vertical bow and left the xbow at home. Seeing several new and interesting bucks showing up in a couple of my spots.
