I’ll be out this afternoon for a couple of hours. Going to be a scramble after work but I’ll get there. Have to pick the little one from daycare, go home and get my stuff, and drop her off with my friends wife. Hope to be in the tree by 430 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Every afternoon the bucks have done basically the same thing. I’ve been fine tuning my setup and closing in on them. If the do it again tonight I think I have a real good chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Keep up the good effort guys! I've been out many times and have either blanked or seen just spikes and fawns. I'm headed out this afternoon if the rain lightens up and am very hopeful for a doe - got a white oak located with lots of acorns and poop underneath it... -fsh
Plan to hunt for first day on October 24. Busy at work, not much done at home. I passed this buck last 5 years, he is narrow frame. I am not sure I will pass him this year or not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Get him Love! I shot a small doe on Base this afternoon. One down, one to go for a buck tag... I didn't bother with the requisite pics for entry, there will be other does for sure... -fsh The exit hole:
@fshafly2, and @TheHardWoods913 Congrats on the does. Had a legal buck this morning but I passed. 18 yards , to small. Wouldn't have been 50 PTS but would have been for the contest. I have bigger it was nice to see a legal buck. Cold morning 28 degrees. Felt good
Nice, saw a button, spike and forker this morning, not one doe. Was getting restless this evening, lol. We have a big temp swing tonight so hopping it gets them moving tomorrow morning.
Biggest buck of my life at 33 yards this morning at 6:37AM, Drew on him and was settling my pin behind his shoulder and he just turned and bound off then trotted into the tree line. I was nestled into a great set in a pine and wind was perfect today, but light, like 2-3 MPH. I think he either saw movement of the last 1/3 of my draw cycle or the tree move a little, def didn't wind me. I am sick over this and can't stop thinking about it. Literally was about to release the arrow when he turned, part of me wishes I just sent it a little sooner, but I was just trying to steady and settle in nicely to make a good shot. When they say you get a chance at a buck of a lifetime only once, I sure hope that isn't true and pray I didn't push him. Not going to go in there until I get the wind right again and hopefully let it die down some in efforts of him getting comfortable on that travel route again. Little advice is much appreciated, esp since I am so sick over this, do you guys think he'll be back or is he gone for good? Like I said he didn't seem too alarmed and def didn 't get my wind, but he knew something was up. Biggest deer I've seen in here is a 150"ish 10 I've been chasing for the last couple of years and honestly he made him look small, a truly unforgettable morning just a lot of frustration and just pretty tore up about it. I never ever thought I'd ever get a chance at a deer like this let a lone a 150, I have never shot over a 120" buck, although I have been trying. It's tough on some of the public I hunt, so this one really hurts. Trying to stay as positive as I possibly can, but unfortunately it isn't working out too well.
