I’m actually right across the river about 20 miles but I work over by the airport. Chesterfield and Wentzville aren’t too bad areas. I wouldn’t venture to the city unless I had too though

The trees have really changed in the past week! Beautiful. Fires me up even more. Now I just need to quit my job.

Got the rain this morning, but looking like it will be clearing out and I will be able to get a hunt in. Thinking I'm going back to one of the buck bedding areas. With higher winds and the wet ground, perfect for sneaking into bedding! Plus I'm hoping with rain clearing, bucks will have the urge to freshing up these scrapes!

Actualty quite capable. He worked out of state and out of town for years. Does the cooking at hunt camp. Also when my jobs were evenings and weekends. We have specific roles here at home. He brings in a income and I take care of hearth and home. I had businesses and jobs over the years. Though when both kids were in high school We decided I needed to be more available and left my teachers aid job. Tough for me so it was MY decision to see this as my "job" We share some jobs on the weekends and he does all repair work. He took over the financial bill paying and banking. I handle all "family matters", home and land issues. I actually concider my hunting as part of my job. filling freezers. The garden is my job for the same reason.
This drives him a tad crazy at times. At our house the kitchen, gardens, and land is a no go for everyone unless I give an OK. Even our posted signs have my name on them here, his on them at his hunting camp. So his request to have an earlier dinner is just that a request not a demand. He had to eat alone for many years. Even when home and the kids and I were living at the fair for a week each year and he was left home to work and take care of livestock. So I understand his not liking eating alone. He understands my not liking anyone in my " office" as it were.

Well I haven't seen a single deer but it sure was a nice morning. Gonna bail out here shortly and grab some food. Back at it later.

I completely understand OND. My comment was in jest, (I was being a wise a$$ because you sacrificed hunting time) and from reading your post, I see you took it as such and not literally! Sorry I made you feel the need to explain the situation. I have nothing but respect for you OND!

You should get a test. After 5 days of exposure you can get a test and if negative get back to normal. I was tested yesterday and already have my results - non deteceted (negative) so I can go back about normal activities. Down side is it means less huntng

I 100% plan on being back out this year. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to use a compound but my crossbow… Actually probably won’t be able to crank that back either… But my gun I should be OK

I don't get burned out. I may get a little tired and take a couple of days off, but I've never gotten burned out. Well, there was last year after I killed my MO buck early and could only doe hunt for two weeks while my son was here. That got old quick.

I'm back at the house now. I took some Tylenol and I'm about to plant my butt in my recliner.

I was planning on going out this afternoon but I'm going to just sit it out until I leave for Kentucky on Wednesday or Thursday. I'll spend time getting my gear washed, prepped and packed.
