I won’t answer the phone on stand for most calls but I just got a call from Tony. He’s in the hospital after a ladder stand incident. He asked me to post what he posted on Facebook. I can’t copy the text so here’s an image of it. Hope you can read it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2 members in the hospital today. What is going on? Fix had an allergic reaction to bee stings that was bad. Man I hope everyone stays safe. Wishing Tony the best. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Tony, this is not good. Hope you get a full recovery from this. Brain bleeds are not to taken lightly. Please keep us posted. You will be in my thoughts. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Thats exactly how I fell last year and broke my arm. Only i was moving a stsnd by myself. Should check straps every year and make sure someone is on bottom holding the legs from moving. Lesson learned the hard way by me Sent from my SM-G981V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Oh man... thoughts and prayers for Tony. So glad it wasn’t worse. Thoughts and prayers for Fix as well. Damn.
Prayers sent to both. I hate hearing stuff like this. I'm guilty as anyone. I've been a monkey since a kid but am now starting to realize I ain't a kid no more. Powerful reminder. **** can (and does) happen. Good luck fellas.
Hopefully, Tony gets released this morning. I'm sure he is sore as a mofo. I hope Fix is feeling better this morning as well.
So the word is that I will be out today as there is no surgery is required. I still have not ambulated since they wrap me in a board yesterday morning over 24 hours ago. I hate hospitals! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Good to hear, they believe you'll be able to hobble right out the gate or you put on no walking order for a bit?
Godspeed on both Tony and Fix recoveries. I sat back in reflection last night and it really made me think of all the dumbassery I've gotten away with over the years. Honestly, we probably need to pin a thread on falls and accidents just for the younger set of hunters education. And not for nothing.. I have three ladder stands on my place and after some squirrels chewed one of my straps I changed them over to chains with a J Hook clamp. At the end of the season I just unhitch the clamp until next year. It is not that complicated of a process and I wish manufacturers would implement it.
