    Damn, how well did you see POI?

    IMO, that arrow may be single lung if that is possible with how low you hit. Not sure how low that is, but I base it on past experience that non lethal meat hits rarely smear the blood on the arrow to the fletchings. I could be wrong but I think you hit more than a "never entered the cavity" shot. Usually meat hits have chunkiness in the broadhead and fatty coating towards the fletching.

    Backing out until morning or devising a plan?

    No dice... had a dog come out was able to find blood specs. Determined I gave him a laceration under his heart... got a feeling we will meet again.[​IMG]

    Hit a buck four years ago. Had the exact same experience. Never found the arrow but mule kick low shot thought heart for sure. Deer ended up being shot 2 weeks later by a neighbor. Just drips of blood no spray

    I’m finally settled in... what a mess. I had to go back to truck for rangefinder/Binos. Wind is SE. anything east sucks. Suppose to be south. We’ll see what happens. Good luck guys!
