I was thinking today and talking to a bow hunter at the gym and we were going over all the bows we have had...I think I killed more deer with My 08 Bowtech Allegiance than any other bow. I would say, at the that time it was my favorite. I have shot others including PSE Xforce, parker, Elite energy 32 and Impulse 31. Hoyt raider...years ago.. I liked the energy. but I have to say, this Mathews Vertix is really impressing me. But if I was to narrow it down to one, Id go with the Bowtech Ally. how about you?

Back in the 80s I had a Hoyt provantage that just flat shot lights out. I used to shoot alot of 3D back then and sometimes I even amazed myself at how well I shot. I had many bows after that and I didn't think I would ever find anything I liked as well as that bow. Then one day I just happened to be in my local shop and they asked me if I wanted to try an Elite 35. I had been a Hoyt shooter for many years but I was blown away when I shot that Elite. It was so smooth and had the best back wall of any bow I had ever put my hands on. So I would say that Elite was my all time fave. Unfortunately, time and shoulder injuries caught up with me and that was my last compound. I am now a member of the evil devil worshiping crossbow clan. But oh that Elite!

Used to be the Hoyt Katera, but my RX-3 is quickly climbing the charts. As soon as I make this final grip change it will be. It just flat shoots.

    ive only owned 2 bows
so the answer is my 2014 Bowtech Carbon Knight

Id love to have the newest flagship but I don't see the advantages of those bows over mine out weighing the cost.

If i had money sure id have something newer or "better" but the CK is light, its fast, vibration not bad, with my heavier arrows its very quite and i can shoot well at all hunting distances. So until such time that Im on a hunting show and sponsored by a manufacturer old reliable itll be

I have only had two bows: a 2005 PSE Deer Hunter that was my first bow and 2016 Hoyt Charger. The PSE is 55lbs at 65% and the Hoyt is 70lbs at 75% let off. The draw cycle essentially feels the same but the Hoyt is faster, so I would have to say the Hoyt is my favorite. But, I have killed more deer with the PSE simply because I have had it longer.

Can't recall what my first bow was other than it was a Browning bow around '96 I think. That and it wasn't fantastic. Parker Hunter Mag after and then a Mathews Drenalin. Loved the Drenalin and still have it, but the latest addition is a Hoyt Helix. It only has one notch, (a coyote), but it is the best bow I've ever owned. I got it after shooting a lot of bows, shopping around and I loved the draw cycle, grip, speed. Back wall isn't terrible. 80% letoff . Hopefully it will stack up a lot of meat.

My current BowTech Boss. I got it in 2015 and have killed my top 3 bucks with it.

Prime Ion, bought 2.5 years ago and haven’t felt the need to even look at another bow. I love everything about it, and Prime sending me new strings and cables every 2 years is an added bonus.

Has a cheap fiberglass recurve as a young kid.

Killed a lot of jackrabbit with it.
    Don't know the brand name.
It fueled the desire I have today..

I miss my Mathews Heli-M. I always suspected the Creed XS would probably be my favorite bow ever, but haven’t ever been around one to see or shoot.

    Same here.

A couple years ago I bought a new Mathews Triax. It was a sweet shooting bow. I actually shot better on the 3d course with it than I did with my Heli-m.

Once I started hunting with it though, I started to see what I consider the negatives of a heavy bow. I went back to my Heli-m and my son in law has the Triax now.

Bought my only bow in 2010. A Parker Blackhawk. Never had a problem with it so never gave me a reason to shoot anything else. Shoot 67lbs, draw is 30". Smooth, little noise, fast enough for me.

My Bear Approach. All my life I got the family hand me downs. This is the first one I've bought for myself.

The confidence I had in that bow, I haven't had in any other. This VXR 31.5 is great, but I just don't have the time on this like I did the firecat.
But, a close second to the firecat was my 2013 Martin Nemesis 35. I'm sure once I get to shooting some 3D shoots next year, Ill have a different answer

I shoot a PSE Xpedite now, good shooting bow. Fast, smooth even with the 80# limbs. But I still haven't found a bow that makes me feel as confident as my 2008 Bear GameOver. My first compound. It was slow, but 7 1/2in brace height made it the most forgiving and accurate bow to grow into. Won many 3D tournaments with it. Still have it as a backup
