I just went and checked out the pictures, man you must be on cloud nine. Great buck and to do it with a recurve, it just doesn't get much better than that. Congratulations.

By the way, we will need some pictures of your finished Jerky for motivation :)

Unfortunately, in my part of Iowa, I am not able to shoot a doe. I have only one tag and it's buck only. Sat last Saturday morning and had 5 does walk under me. Go figure.

The area of WI I hunt is over run with deer. My tag comes with 1 buck and 4 or 5 doe tags

I only have 1 doe tag for my home state of MA... and 2 buck tags for the entire season. I rarely fill my doe tag in MA if I have shot some earlier in CT or NY. Sometimes I will fill it late season muzzleloader if I don't have my freezer full.
I have 2/3 doe tags for NY, but one is an either / or archery and I need to save that for my trip to Western NY for a buck.
CT gives me 4 archery tags, 2 either or and 2 doe only.

If I get all this jerky cooked today then I’ll be free the next 3 days for sure!

@Blarney22, I’ll definitely post some pictures of the jerky for motivation lol.

Just checked the distance 529 miles and only takes 8.5 hours. It better be darn good jerky for that drive

I'm heading out in the morning for 4 days of hunting. Hopefully one of the targets comes out. But with 3 bow tags and being able to shoot like 11 deer a year, any buck 3.5 or older will be in trouble

Didn’t see a thing tonight. Pulled a card at a pinch point 100 yards from where I was sitting and let’s just say I have a new number one. Had 3 bucks in last 7 days in this spot. The big boy trashed the small saplings that where in front of the camera. Just debating on if I want to hang a stand there decisions decisions.

Weather here is looking warm and not ideal for movement but I can only hunt weekends so I will probably give it a go.

I hear ya Blarney.. tomorrow and Sunday supposed to be very warm here. I will just scout tomorrow and hang w/ family Sunday. Calling for rain Monday - Wed next week. If there is an afternoon break I will take advantage of it, but this PM may be my only sit until late next week...

    Good luck guys
