    Guess I should elaborate on the doe I killed and if you're interested. I hunt on Maryland's Eastern Shore. We have a non-native species of deer called Sika.     Very cool, I have seen hunting shows that focused on Sikas on the Eastern Shore.

    The entire time I looked at the picture I thought something looked off. Notice the shaggy hair and thought it looked like a Sika now it makes sense! Do you do a lot of Sika hunting?

    Thanks for sharing that. Had never heard of them and I sure couldn’t make out between the size, long hair, and coloration, what the heck that was. Makes sense now.

    I had my first sit of the season this evening and it was a good one. 10 deer, 4 bucks. I was at full draw one and ended up giving him the pass when I got a real good look at him.

    I made it out for the first time today. Shot a doe. I will get it entered this weekend. Still holding out on bucks. Several around 140 but nothing really big yet.

    Had another decent hunt tonight. Saw one pretty decent buck cruising the edge of the corn field. I’m going to hunt tomorrow morning and evening and then I’ll back out for a week possibly. Warm temps are coming all of next week. If I do hunt it’ll be on public land.

    The amount of bucks I’ve seen to does in the first 4 days of the season is surprising. The cold front has really had them moving. No shooters have come out of the corn yet.
