It’s not looking good. 30 minutes into daylight and nothing so far. If nothing moves within the next hour I’m going to assume they’re already bedded down nothing will. Actually with the moon phase that’s most likely a safe assumption already. Still, it’s the coldest morning so far this year so I’ll give it some time.
Just ordered a new Scott Shark release. Dual caliper, light trigger, stays open after pulling the trigger, camo buckle strap. Meets all my specs I need a light trigger with my soso shoulder and I've always wanted a buckle strap. My velcro strap is so noisy. Have to do something while I'm sitting here. EBAY is great.
3 does 60 yds out. One is huge. I had something slip right behind me earlier but all I could see was feet. I’m sitting next to a big bedding area. Well see
Now there was something you don’t see every day. A big bobcat came by carrying a rabbit it had killed.
2 spike bucked just chased off my girls. Grunting and acting like 2 drunk frat boys at an upscale club
Yup. With a doe following him. I lost him now but I think he skirted this bedding and is coming to my downwind
It’s been crazy here this morning. Feels like November. I thought I’d see some early movement and then trickle off but it’s been steady. Its been about 10 min since last movement
Things are better wherever you are than they are here. Screw this. I’m getting down and going home. I’ll be back in Kentucky two weeks from today to hunt the new moon.
Slow here but the rain just stopped. Im staying here till 1300-1400 to see if they get up and move after the rain.
Jeep and gear smoked. I'll be heading out for an afternoon hunt over the swamp'ish area where I found the fresh sign on tuesday. It looks like they were eating the shin-high grass. Let's hope that's what they want to eat today!
Hoping for my first NC sit tomorrow. I think I'm ready. Kidding, I stole the Pic. I've not hung a stand or stick, not readied my pack, heck, haven't unpacked my bow since CO...yeah, could be a cluster, but would be great to sit in a tree for a bit.
