Thanks guys, I'm excited about the sika hunt. I've killed only one (hind), and am looking forward to taking a stag. I couldn't hunt the Base yesterday, so I sat on a brassica field on my farm. The fawns still had spots, so this doe got a pass (21 yds)... -fsh
Dan - I really don't know about how tough it is to find places to hunt. There is a lot of public land on the Eastern Shore, and the few guys I know that hunt sikas there are pretty quiet about their spots. I get the sense that if you put in the effort, you can find decent places to hunt. My nephew has an in on a big chunk of private land (>1000A) in prime country. He does a lot of work for the owner and has taken several decent stags over the years. I'm just going along for the ride... -fsh
I am just back from Elk trip yesterday. No elk for me. Saw 3 cows at 71 yards second day hunt. No elk or bulges until last morning hunt. Last morning hunt got in 2 bulls bulges at less than 40 yards and 60 yards I couldn’t make a shot because it thick timber then I busted them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
