They are shelling corn on our property today. We weren't expecting them this early. It will be interesting to see how that starts to affect deer movement. Hopefully it will push them out of the corn and into the timber!
I would think that would push them back in the timber but I’m sure they would come out to the fields to eat up some of the corn being dropped on the ground whether they come out at night I don’t know but it should help for deer movement inside the woods for sure, Good luck to you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking like the Hurricane will past to the east of us and we will be able to roll out to Colorado Wednesday evening. I'm pumped.
Well I was out this past Monday and Tuesday and nothing to show for it. On Monday evening hunt I had 20 deer sightings. One small 3 pt and a basket rack 8. The does the did come within range had fawns with them. Mother has a rule of no shooting does with fawns. I agree! I will be back out more locally Thursday evening. I will try to use the group chat more but also provide updates here as well. Keep the forums alive lol
My opening weekend may be in jeopardy this weekend, I'll find out in a few days or so on whether or not I'll be able to go. Sucks too, because we have a high of like 78 this saturday and lows in the 50s which is unheard of for opening weekend in Tx. I'm kinda bummed if I can't make it at least one of the days this weekend.
@kevinpowell, Your scorecard entry is missing the time of kill. While you're at it, please add your team number. Obviously I know it now, but others dont.
Had a great night last night. Saw about 11 deer cruising. Passed on a big doe hoping to see a buck in his feet early but no such luck. Live cold weather! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Glad to hear you’re seeing some deer this colder weather has definitely got them on their feet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll be headed to the lease this weekend for the first time. I'll be gun hunting to drop a pig friday night and hopefully saturday morning I'll get in my bow stand and pop a doe for 50!
