Alls good team members. We may start out slow but...... Hell, I ain't even had the gumption yet. Let those teams leading shoot them squirts. Kidding of course. Let's just have fun and have the chips fall as they may. Oh, by the way, I don't do the like_ dislike thingy. Just a me thing. Fingered I'd better say that.
Shoot, I was in UP baiting bears all weekend without signal. Could of brought dog. Sounds like possible stomach/low lung. We tracked one last year couple miles before he finally died. Stomach hits have red watery blood and smell like gut if you smell lood.
Hey queation for you. Hey sir! Dog season opened and I went from 4-5 bears a day on bait to none in 7 days. We are on private ground so I would think they didnt run off the barrel. But wondering if there is anyrhing I can do to get them back on bait? You are an expert. Thoughts?
Andrew. Bear wander aloft more than people think. The only time I can keep bear on a bait consistently is when there is very little natural foods. I have a bait 2 miles from the house. It was overrun with bears until 2 weeks ago. Acorns dropped, corn and sunflowers became prime and POOF. Bear live by their stomach. They are finding good quality for somewhere. I once had 5 bear come into a bait, not one stopped to eat. They all took my trail in, walked over the road into a sunny field. Things should get good soon as our corn may come off early this year. Be alot of wandering bear. Oh yeah, Wolves. If you have them around, they can and will booger bear off the bait site. Especially if they start pissing around it.
I appreciate all the positive vibes following last weekend's s#!t show. Have no fear, I'll be back at it as soon as the hot weather passes. I'm looking forward to hearing more stories from you guys as more seasons open up. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Seen a good bear this morning. Very stalkable. With the warm weather, I just didn't want to deal with it.
Damn fellas. Missed a a chip shot on a doe tonight. She came back and sniffed the arrow but I did not shoot again.
I really struggled last year. Blamed it on not shooting much. This past month I've been pounding arrows and doing real good.. I was 100% confident tonight. Now, anybody that has bowhunted and killed a good amount of stuff has missed or wounded animals but I'm about ready to pull out my hair after tonight's perfect miss.
Opening day this thursday cant wait...! My inlaws have a really big 10 coming around on there property im thinking hes gonna be my target buck this year probably a 145 to 160 inch big body deer but well see... Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
