Long term benefits always out weigh short term and long term misery. Always.

I have a dog that when I lock him out of the bedroom at night will sometimes (including tonight) wedge his ass into the corner from the other side and lay down with his bunghole right at the bottom of the door...and fart. And fart some more. Right now I am laying in my bed almost gagging. I have already gotten up three times and booted him away; including just now. I had to literally kick him to get him to go away. And when I say wedge, I mean it. He slams his butt into the door frame and slides on his way down, and when he's on the floor he keeps pushing his heinie into the door frame. You can hear this happening. And he only does it if he's going to play Dr. Mengele.

He is 1000% doing this on purpose. He knows what his farts are and that they smell bad. When he farts in g-pop, and I say "oh, Otto, phew!" he runs away in shame. But if it's not him (the other dog, my wife...OK probably me) he just sits there and gives me dirty looks because he knows it's not him and I am unjustly blaming him for the stank.

So my rant is...Giant Schnauzers. Diabolical dogs.

true, but Chicago is the #1 most corrupt city in the second most corrupt state.

I think Illinois may take the #1 spot this year. The Speaker of the House is about to be indicted by the FBI. He's been Speaker for about 40 years and is probably the most powerful Democrat outside of DC. He helped Make Barack Obama.

You literally can't do anything big in the state of Illinois without kissing his ring.

I don't think you're allowed to call them that. Boriqua is the preferred nomenclature. I asked my Puerto Rican wife and she said that's a good way to get stabbed.

Any intersection with a damn Chic-fil-a during the morning commute, noon hour or evening commute. Stupidest bunch of rooster lollipop drivers all hellbent on getting a crappy chicken sandwich/biscuit. Idk, maybe I'm just pissed my wife choose another franchise to open instead of a Chick-fil-A. But I've never understood the attraction to that crappy overpriced sandwich.

My team at work used to be 5 people. 3 Feds, two contractors. We went down to just 2 contractors for a year now and we worked for separate companies trying to meet all the service level agreements each week. Coworker just tells me his company notified him this morning that today is his last day. No 30 days/2 weeks, just gone. WTF. My contract ends on Oct 31, so this month is going to be busy for me, as I am the only person to do all the work. Cannot wait to put in my 2 week notice.

Customer service and atmosphere has a lot to do with it. I agree that the quality of food is mediocre when compared to sit down restaurant. But, for drive thru and customer service it can not be beat. The hiring process gets people who are eager to work and learn in an entry level position. Not the idiots who think they deserve $15/hour to flip burgers. People support what they do for their employees as much as anything. But yeah, food is not that impressive.

Racist autocorrect strikes again. Going to have to enroll Siri in racial sensitivity training.

Usually that is the case, but not this one. The incoming contract company wants to pay 20k less, like a junior position, for my job. My contract ends on Halloween and I will be gone before then. The gov can really mess stuff up and they really messed this one up.

That crap does not work I have two slow leaks on the driver side of my pick up Put the slime in there has done nothing to slow the leaks, pisses me off pretty much parked the truck till my lease is up in October. Has a rattle in the dash too seriously thinking of going SUV instead of pick up next vehicle.

I said I would never buy new again but Ram 2500 quad cabs with the Cummins are selling at a point that is very damn tempting...plus when TEOTWAWKI happens in a couple months I won't have to make the payments. So I'd have that going for me. A badass truck at the end of the world. That's pretty cool eh?

I would stick it out until the 21 F150 hybrid comes out but that's looking like it won't roll off the line until well after that. They're not even taking pre orders.

That hybrid looks BA...13.5k tow capacity, 700 mile range and it has a 240 outlet in the back.
