How much are we going to spot the field before we start piling them up. I don’t plan on hitting g the woods for at least a month. Right now only expanded archery zones are open here. Still trying to figure out where I am going to hunt this fall in the Midwest. Have to be an over the counter state.
Been there done that with a divorce, messy. Good luck with that. Some tree time could help, Deer or no deer.
Setup here in WI. Not my original spot I though I was going to but I made this work. We will see if something comes through! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had a small 6 at 32 yards last night. Not too shabby for a public land quick setup. I wasn't expecting much. Good luck to all you guys! It's going to be a fun season! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm from Wisconsin myself...where about you located? Sent from my SM-G975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
So far I've been out twice - had a doe at 16 yds but I never got a good shot angle. My cams aren't picking up anything more than younger bucks. Hopefully that will change when the rut draws the hammers out of the swamps... -fsh
I’ve sat twice passed on those bucks both times and have had between 8 to 12 does in front of me both sits... I wish I could get more than one tag per year
Didn’t get one this year...North Dakota has been pretty hard to get tags in lately other then the bow tag
Just got back from up North. Bears weren't hitting the bait like we'd like so we put boots to the ground and went looking for them. Unfortunately I didn't get on anything I was looking to shoot, but my buddy shot a small one on Monday morning. Still a great trip, we had lots of fun. Now to wait for our deer opener after I get back from Louisiana!!! Good luck to all you guys that have been getting out already!
I drew a blank on the Navy Base Saturday afternoon. I'll go back Monday and sit by a persimmon tree. I've avoided the area because of having to wade through tall grass and suffer the chiggers! This Thursday I'm heading for the Eastern Shore of MD to hunt sika deer with my nephew for a few days - he's got one tied to a tree for me. (Sika are an exotic species of small elk that live in the marshes). Keep up the hunting pressure guys! -fsh
