Had two doe at 30-35 yards. They walked in on my trail and were very jumpy. I won’t take a shot on deer that far if they are on edge like that. Great to finally see deer! Got me shaking! Lol!!
House clean. Check. Working on the some of the cars today for the ladies. Check. Cleaning garage today. Check. I don't need any distractions Oct 3rd. Then on to bare shaft tune my arrows then broadheads. KILL
Gonna give it 15 more minutes then climb down and leave a different route... hold on does behind me...bitches
lolololol cleaning my garage today/tomorrow. I actually rented a 10x10 storage unit down the street from my house last weekend to put all my hunting bins and stands in- that way I can spread everything out and just grab and go what I need every hunting trip rather than pulling them in and out of the crawlspace. (To the uninitiated, I hunt several 4-10 day stretches in at least 3 different states with no permanent structures to keep my stuff in/at.) Only thing I got at my house are my bows/arrows and cases. The $4-500 total in storage fees over the next 4 months is 1000% worth not having the "you have destroyed the basement and garage" argument again. When season is over I can just squirrel it all back in the crawlspace out of sight/mind. Much cheaper than a lawyer!
I’m definitely in there bedding area.. makes sense now. They were coming back to bed an caught my scent on the trail, worked there way around to come in downwind... but they haven’t busted out yet with my scent blowing right towards them.. lol wtf?!
They can’t see me up in the tree because they’re under mountain laurel. I got an idea! I’m gonna throw something in there to see if they are in there to see if I can pinpoint there location... standby lol
Your scent control is spot on and/or thermals are pulling your scent away or you are high enough the scent is going over top of them. Remember these weather conditions and location for the rut!
