You would actually have to see it in person to know just how true that is.

I gotta say it was one of the best opening days for me, too. 5 different bucks and 5 does and jumped one walking back in the dark. Had a doe at 12 yards but decided to pass when i saw super nice buck crest the horizon of the bean field. I could only see the left side of his rack thru the binos but counted 5!!!!! tines. he walked opposite way of me while does and small buck milled around. About an hour later the same big buck and a smaller, but shooter buck started to crash through the beans which spooked all the deer out of the field. the Big buck circled back around and got within 60 yards of me and again, could only see his left side, 5 tines again. He ended up walking into the thicket behind me and i never saw him the rest of the night. sh*t almost got real. fast.

I should clarify this, by "how big of a cage is he in?" I was referring to the son in law not the deer.

Was obviously a joke, but want to make sure it is known as such.

Well everyone. I'm in a stand for the last day of this trip.. its a cool crisp 37, clear blue skies. Beautiful morning to sit in a tree. So far no deer but this is another spot that traditionally they don't show till 0730-0830. Deer movement was great Friday, been slow since. Maybe the moon phase? Good luck to all you Sunday archers.

Sporting the heater vest, 2 hand warmers and 2 toe warmers. Makes it very pleasant to sit in 37deg temps.

I have a heated vest and I tell you, I wouldn't trade that thing for anything. Works great!

Just had a Doe with two unspotted fawns come in behind me. No shot that direction. They walked right up my entrance trail. Thats also where the wind is blowing to. Says good things for my scent control. I never heard them,, was just looking around. Thy never saw me. Good encounter.

Just had a super cool encounter with another Doe that walked up my entrance trail. She milled around behind me for 10-15 min. She got to 2yds of the base of my tree behind me. Had the tactacam on the entire time but she just wouldn't step out. She just kept circling around, walking back and forth, wanting to come out but just couldn't commit. Its all short bushy trees behind me that don't provide a shot.. Fun times for sure.
