    Well saw one of the 8 pointers I’d like to take right at dark today. He was in the neighbors freshly cut corn with 6 does. Was cool to see him, just hope that he’s not making that his permanent home.

    Tired and a little sore today. Waist and head high golden rod and that other crap that wraps around you ankles coming out last night beat me up. Was like walking while dragging weights tied to my ankles. Probably do an observation sit again this eve. Might get lucky.

    Today I’ve decided to go up to the spot I’m call the Intersection this year and get my Novix and Climbing sticks already put up. I will not be hunting any public on this first section of deer vacation, just one spot on the farm, everyday, for six days. Might as well spray down and run up there to get it setup. Will make it a lot easier on me Saturday and the rest of this week. It’s getting close and it looks like temps are going to cooperate.

    I think ideally, for now, I’m going to take a doe this weekend if the opportunity arises. Then temps are suppose to drop and stay lower Monday-Thursday. That’s when I’ll be hunting the big boys.

    Got some stands trimmed out this morning. I’ve pretty much got everything ready to go. 1 stand to hang in my Vigo Co. property. Another to hang at my Parke Co. property. But Im in no hurry - I can do hang and hunts on those.
