Well, s**t show. I was all tucked in nice and early in my rogue spot when the owners son comes down the trail i used to walk in on riding a lawn mower. I figured he'd go by and all would be good. Nooooo, he cuts into the woods through some tall grass and goes crashing down into the woods. I don't know but I left. So I go to another area near the edge of the corn and I start smelling death. Beautiful 10pt that I don't have on camera. Maybe week old kill. So I leave there and find a stand and bait pile 100yds away. Probably the guy who shot the 10 and didn't recover it. After all that, I just left. Back on the other side of the farm in my ground blind. It can only get better.
The valley behind me is in the shadows, with thermals falling. Hopefully there’ll be some movement soon

I’m sitting this one out and rooting for my son in law. Right now he is in the same tree I killed my 10 point out of last October and he has Ghost and two other bucks bedded in a thicket 50 yards away from him. He said Ghost is a 190” - 200” deer this year. We haven’t gotten him on camera at all so this is the first sighting this year. Hopefully we will see if he’s exaggerating, but I don’t doubt that he could be that big.
Well guys we got our two deer all quartered and in the fridge, now I’m out here having my victory cigar and a few beers!! Well it calmed down a bit so ill post. As I was putting the last strap on the hang on 3 does walked in on me. I spot them before they spot me, but come my way with me stuck handing on the side of the tree. Lineman rope pops from sliding on the tree a bit so they kind of run off.
