Just checking in here. Haven’t been on in a few had a lot of catching up to do. Just bought a house and have a couple projects/ a long A$$ honey do list to take care of so my time will pretty much be occupied. However I’m going to try to get out and check cameras one last time before season opener next weekend. Good luck to all who are already hunting.
Gosh a guy goes bear hunting for a week with no service and has a novel to read to get back up to speed! No bears. I’ll be taking my first trip to SW wisco next weekend. I’ll be saddle hunting this year, something new I’ll need to get used too. Beats carry a hang on 3 miles though. Looks like the team has a lot of good bucks on cam. It’ll get real exciting when we start seeing some close ups. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Double checked broad head flight. Laser beams. Did some more packing and organizing for the opener canoe hunt. We still haven’t had any rain at all. All in all I’m ready to get after it
A canoe hunt is on my bucket list. I’ve always wanted to use a boat to get in deep on some public but havnt made the move to do it yet. I will one day I’m sure. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The last batch of jerky has been sliced and is marinating, and the last pound of ground is thawing for chili. Freezer is empty fellas. I won’t be shooting a doe on our canoe trip, but it’ll be on after that. I can’t wait!
No luck this weekend but the weather was pretty warm. Cameras showed deer moving between midnight and 5 a.m. that’s why they call it hunting I suppose. Did bump a really nice buck while we were scouting Friday. He’ll be on my wall soon Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had a steady stream of dinks all weekend, 3 different 3" spikes a tiny 3 pointer and a 50lb tiny doe, ' all mature bucks are still nocturnal on cam, cooler weather for next weekend so Im headed to hunt My club land , will be in a creek bottom with a huge white oak that I hope is dropping some early acorns, heres the little 3 pointer, he hung around all weekend, had to run him off twice yesterday to g et out of the stand and he came back this morn, They sure are dumb at this age
Don’t think I could ask for a better forecast for October. Last year, it was 92 on opening day. I didn’t hunt until the 3rd when it cooled off to like 84. Hopefully, I’ll have something fresh to set up on for Friday morning. It’s been super dry and we’re on the water, so I’m really banking on water and acorns or some of those random plants that grow in creek bottoms they browse on. The nearest ag is two miles away.
