Well little update for me started tonight going to shot 20+ arrows every night from now till first time out. Help with muscle memory and stamina. Also going to climb all trees in yard and possibly nieghbors with saddle get more comfortable in it and try to reduce my 30 to 45 min set up time. Also shoot out of saddle too. Good luck everyone. Remember this is all fun but we are going to win this thing.

We're doing school and I'm going on shift tomorrow. But my station allows us to shoot, so I'll bring my gear and depending on the shift, work on some of the quality of filming. Shooting with the Tactacam is a little different and I'm not a fan of some of the video (not quality, just movements on my part).

I'm with Andy. We are gonna win. Good luck to anyone out today and this weekend.

Actually took a break from shooting some after 3D season was over. A cable was showing some wear and I'm really not wanting to swap cables & strings right before season. I normally would shoot 100-200 arrows a week, but I'll shoot a few days before season to make sure everything is on still. Thinking of buying a saddle to hunt some public land right behind our shop. I've never hunted public but it would be real easy for me to get off work during the week and slip in early while all the other hunters are away.

Not great with E-scouting but these are two natural pinch points I found on the public that was the furthest from any road or parking lot. Both possible stand sights are about a mile away from one another. Also thought about setting up right on the parking lot [IMG][IMG]

Scratch the bottom picture of stand. Already 2 stands hung in that same 30yd section. Just did some quick scouting on lunch

That top picture looks almost identical in set up to one of my favorite public land spots. That spot should be good all year as long as the access route is good. If I had a canoe or kayak, I would be accessing from the river.

There is actually a proper kayak launch just upstream from where I see that potential stand spot. Would be easy to launch and float downstream to that spot quietly. Paddling back out may suck.[IMG]

Did a couple hunts out of it last year. Grew up cutting trees with just a rope. This thing is the cats meow lol.

A week from tomorrow, as long as it is not too hot, I will be sitting in a tree for the opener!

Hey guys, a couple of quick reminders as most people's seasons will be opening soon:

    1) In order for your entry to count on the score card there must be two different pictures with you, the deer, and bow clearly visible.

    2) If you are unfamiliar or less experienced with scoring a buck, post up your pictures and measurements on our team thread before posting to the score card. There is no shame in wanting someone to double check your measurements before posting. This will save embarrassing questioning and good-natured teasing from other's about an inaccurate scoring. This happens every year. I have had my measurements questioned in the past.

    3) This is not a big buck contest! Every year the teams that have legitimate shots at winning are the teams that kill the most does. If everyone kills a doe, we will be within top five if not top three. There are 11 of us on the team, 11 does = 550 points. Last year, the winning team had 1083 7/8 points. If everyone contributes 50, we are more than half way to that and we only need to average five bucks at 110"+ to be higher than that.

    4) HAVE FUN! I don't know about you guys, but I am ready for hunting to get a break from everything, enjoy every opportunity you get this season regardless of filling a tag!

For me ill be good for 1 deer. Always get one down. Question is if ill be good for the 2nd one. Usually average 5 misses. This is why im shooting alot. Just got to remember to relax breathe aim pull through. Not so much worried tournament but freezer is hurting with those misses.

My plan was for the first week of November. Exact dates have not been nailed down. I was going to meet up with @LittleChief if it works out and hunt public land in SE MO. Unfortunately, something has come in my personal life completely unrelated to hunting that may cause me to cancel the trip. I probably should not go into details online because I may be taking some pretty strong legal action against a certain group of people. It should not affect my hunting at home in Arkansas, but, may affect my ability to go out-of-state this year. I am hopeful that this situation will resolve itself and I can feel comfortable making the trip.

If you are praying person, my family and I would appreciate it.

Damn dude. Having just finished up with potential legal issues, I feel you. Hopefully it's all settled shortly and things play themselves out the way it's supposed to
