I’ll have a video of the whole experience up in the next week or so.

Pretty excited about the stand I set where I bumped a mature buck out of last year on a knob in the middle of the point (blue). There were still beds in there with a bunch of scat everywhere. A few oaks but they didn’t seem to be loaded. The yellow is a huge ditch from field run off and filled with tree top chunks, so they have to go out into the field or back down in to the holler and around. Purple will be access. This stand will be perfect for those weird East wind days as well as a straight South wind (the wind direction the day I bumped the buck last year). If all else fails, I’ll hunt the left over corn kernels late season. And another of the repurposed motocross track turned food plot (not connected to this 80 acre map) 1D0AD823-910D-4B4B-8C57-8A173280013B.jpeg

Whoa! Close call, but glad you're okay. I'm going to be building a couple more arrows today, so I might as well double check all my current one's as well...

The ones Ive been shooting are 330s, 7.9 grains per inch @29 inches, ,a 50 grain brass insert ,and 125 grain muzzys, total weight 404 grains. they are straight shooting and fast. Maybe I sliced one during practice with a broadhead blade? Not sure why it exploded but dont want it happing again!!! Ill use the arrow gun till the FMJ shafts come in and I get them built.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to work on it till Monday or Tuesday. I’m going down to check cameras in WV at my buddies camp this weekend (I’ll make a minisode out of that) and then I have some Ohio property management and scouting stuff that I also need to make into a minisode. So that’s 3 I gotta edit out and post in the next few weeks.

Dang! I was hoping to head down to KY later today and hunt the cold front coming through Friday and Saturday. There will be about a 12 deg temp drop and the deer should be moving. I can't get out of work like I thought. Looks like my first hunt in KY will be the early muzzy season 10/17...However I will be hunting with my bow!

Only 7 more days at work and 4 more two mile runs and I’ll be in the woods. Or 13 more wake ups
