Thanks. Well, it hasn't really gotten me down yet, I don't feel any worse this morning. I feel like I've got a little bit of an upper respiratory thing going on and I still can't taste or smell anything. I'm going to go get tested this afternoon I guess.
First of all, welcome to the team! Second of all, your health comes before hunting/getting the team points. Take it slow until you're feeling 100%. I hope that you start to feel better soon.
CoveyMaster, I hope you get feeling better. Your health is way more important then hunting. I will be glassing from a distance today trying to locate this buck and see whats coming into my beans from the neighboring property. It is the opener for me so I will have my bow with me but the wind direction will make it almost impossible to make a move
Welcome to the team Covey! Get well soon! MN opens on Saturday! Gonna go after this guy first thing! Hopefully wind forecast holds up SSE is really good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The farmers are really starting to take the corn off...green chopping. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I did not see anything yesterday afternoon glassing. I am going to set up a couple more stands and wait for the farmer to get the corn cut before I head back out
Today is finally here!! Just got back from my morning 3 1/2 mile walk. nice and cool 44 degrees! Toiday's high will be 66 degrees. We have some cold nights towards the end of the week with lows in the 30s already!!!! Might have to do a morning sit near a buck bed and catch him J-hooking into his bed! In the words of Ozzy Osbourne..."Let the madness begin"
All of the bigger bucks I had on cam have been MIA while shedding their velvet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
South winds predicted for the foreseeable future. Will be out tomorrow afternoon to hang my stand for Saturday afternoons hunt! Not sure what the exact plan is yet. If I see a doe I'm not sure if I will shoot or not. I still have some meat left over from last years doe. I will decide when that time comes I guess.
I didn't see anything on last night's hunt. It was great to be back out there and sort of a less than 100% effort on my part due to it being my first saddle hunt. I'm going back out on Friday for an afternoon hunt. I'm going all in and going 2 plus miles in. I'll also be out satuday afternoon, not sure about the morning.
I'll be heading out tomorrow for an afternoon hunt. I'll be going in Deeper than I've ever gone before. Go big or go home!!!
Not too bad, this is the first afternoon this week I didn't feel like I had a head cold. My energy and stamina seemed much improved this afternoon too. Still not 100%, maybe 85% or so. Just tired and draggy most of the time. Worked much better this evening moving cattle though. Thanks for asking.
