If they were my dads cows I might have let it fly... jk but can’t pretend like the thought didn’t cross my mind. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
No deer today. It was drizzling/raining on and off all day. Had someone squirrel hunting within 100 yards of me and had two deer blow at them. It was great just being out there. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
So we went out about 4 hours after the shot and tracked a ways jumped him out of one bed unknowingly and he ended up doubling back over his blood trail and we kind of lost trail. So I went out to this little patch of trees and checked and found lots of blood. We decided to back out and give him a little more time. So we went and set cameras for 3 hours and went right back where we left off. He was laying 5 yards from where we backed out!! Little Droptine! Little work after the fun! Hey Team 18. Tomorrow morning will be 2 weeks since I posted the Official Teams list. Last week I sent a group message to all members who hadn't checked into their teams at that time letting them know that they had until this past Friday to check in. I was going to make the replacements tomorrow morning, but I will be on stand until about 10:00 and then I will be driving home, so I'm making the replacements tonight. Frosty452 has been replaced by @CoveyMaster. I will send a message to all replacements. Feel free to try to contact them as well.
Just got a notification and came here to see I've been placed on this team. So this is my official check in.
Congrats guys, looks like you have a covid patient on your team. Don't worry, I'm wearing a mask. *cough cough cough* I'm fine, really. Seriously though, I was exposed to it from the ranch owner I manage for. I've been showing symptoms since Wednesday. He came out to the ranch and we spent the day conducting fall management burns fighting serecia lespedeza. He got back home Monday evening and started feeling badly. Tuesday he got tested and it came back positive. Wednesday I started having a lot of sinus issues, drainage down the back of my throat. Yesterday and today I've been about 50%, low energy, sweat very easily and a lot and I've lost the ability to taste or smell anything. I've not been tested but chances are I've got it. Hopefully it's a mild case and doesn't get any worse. If it does get worse I may not be of much help to the team for a while. So far I'm still working, worked with the livestock today but quit early from being wiped out. There's another guy that works on the ranch doing odd jobs, his wife works at a local court house and she tested positive Wednesday as well but I had not been exposed to either of them lately so if I've got it then it came from my contact Monday. I've not been around anyone else but there are a LOT of cases of it around here now. I have an aunt and uncle 15 miles from me that had it also (also not exposed to them). We'll see how it goes.
Welcome to the team and hopefully you get feeling better soon! We have had quite a few cases around here but thankfully haven't gotten it yet. Sent from my XT1650 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Congratulations to him! That buck looks very familiar. Had to dig way back in pics to find my first bow buck: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That blows, I hope you get well soon, and that the symptoms are mild. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Welcome aboard bud!!!! Damn, that's horrible news about you being sick. At least, being a farmer, you are in better shape than most so hopefully it doesn't keep you down for too long.
