A 4WD magazine said the little Ford Bronco was one of the best 4WDs made. We are on our second Dodge Ram 1500. I should say it is the wife's. If I'm good, she lets me drive it. First one, 2000 model, was totaled by a guy turning in front of us. Got a good deal on a 2007. Teachers at her school couldn't understand why she got a second one...sit up above the traffic, surrounded by lots of steel. lots of room, fill the back with camping gear, fishing gear, etc. About 1970, Dad bought an old Ford 150 from a local gas station. Had a big bumper for pushing cars. Three on the column...hooked to a 390!

I'll take the Ford!! My first vehicle was an 86' F-250. My dad had an 83' F-150 that we used to hunt out of. I'd LOVE to find an 83 and fix it up just like he had it.

I had a 80 f350 in hs that got off grandparents and redid. Good thing gas was cheap caise that thing drank it. Road like a log wagon and was so low geared sounding like it was gonna blow if you hit 65. Was a fun truck tho.

I've always liked 72 chevy's. Buddy had one that was 4x4 and tried buying that thing so many times ha. When I was in NC me and my roomate actually took his all the way to TX on leave once. Was only 2wd and 3 on tree. That was hell of a road trip ha.

I still have an 85 F150 4x4 with a 352 manual 4 spd. Used to be dad and I's work truck running to the dozers and scrapers. I did some minor body work on it, cleaned it up and painted it then parked it and it's still sitting idle. I used cheapy crap paint and never should have done that. It's a good old truck. I need to get it out and re do it one of these days.

In 87 I ordered my 1st new truck, 88 Blazer, had 6" lift & 35" in garage before truck arrived. Truck went thru 3 lifts tire sizes , now has 10" of lift on 40" tires. Haven't seen it in 8 or 10 years, 15 yrs ago moved into a deed restricted hood, moved it to a neighbors brothers farm, been trying to get it back for a year plus. I almost mentioned the El Camino as well, never had one but always liked them especially ones such as that put on the Blazer chassis. Never forget its evil counterpart failure, The Brat, either.
