Well it’s safe to say I chose the wrong stands this AM... we pulled into the other property and bam... big doe running across the front yard and 8 turkeys in the hay field... got the ladder stand all taken care of for dad and my Verizon tacticam reveal hung (had an att cell camera that had 0 bars...) now I’m all set up waiting o some deer, the property owner is out back gardening and she told me to make sure I get one they were eating her roses last night!! Tight quarters here on the property so I won’t shoot anything over 25 yards, shot opportunity will likely be about 12 here’s the set up ! I made it to my brother’s house in Kentucky. Now I need to shower and get after it. I’m shooting to be in a tree at 4:30. I’m going back to the “dirt bike stand”. Ita a great spot as long as those kids aren’t there riding.

Walk with an arrow nocked when you go in during daylight. I learned that lesson the hard way a few years ago. Had what I am guessing to be a 120" 8 point bedded 60 yards from the tree I wanted to be in. I got to 18 yards before we knew each other was there. Would have killed him if I had been ready, wind was in my favor and I had a small waist high bush in front me breaking up my outline. Got caught in a stare down that lasted about 30 seconds before he took off.
Now this thread is heating up! Grabbed my cam. Only half the pics as last time and I'll check them later. Time to fish. My sanctuary.

I buzzed my hair, trimmed the beard and clipped the nails last night. We usually run into a town (or campground) for a shower once we're ripe enough, or we put an animal down and have em packed out. Usually followed by victory carbs.
