NFL kicks off tonight. I want to watch football damn! But I am so conflicted with the political BS... I want to say FU to the NFL but a part of me really wants to watch some of the game... I guess it really doesn't matter if I don't watch it, they play either way. Now, when the Cowboys play I am going to really be conflicted.. because they always stand a good chance to lose somehow even when they shouldn't:violin:

I'm on the fence as well. I love my Patriots, and super excited for the post-Brady era, but do not want to support the NFL. I'm pretty sure I will not be watching.

It's such BS. I don't need to know what the players or the NFL feel about social justice... I just want to see football

It's just sad. football is as American as it gets. And we, good, honest, hardworking folks have to boycott football

After the parent meeting at soccer I’ll flip on the game and watch some football and be entertained for a few hours.

I’ve learned to just separate the non-sense and just watch some football.

If your keeping score at home the Chiefs had one kneeler while the rest stood with some linking arms. The Texans decided to stay in the locker room during the anthem. Yep, doing that will change a lot of things in society. Now onto the actual game!

    What's football?

Is that some relation to the DoDo bird?

Nope, but not because of anything that's happened recently. I'll watch the SB occasionally but haven't watched much pro football in several years.

Now come Saturday I'll watch a few games of college

Nope! If I wanted to watch politics I’d turn on C span.

I think the singers had pictures of recent shootings on them also, and they had a moment of silence and all linked arms.

Interesting to see 15,000 fans, I wonder how many flip it on who state they were not going to watch

    Houstons scores

I'm watching, didn't watch any pregame and tuned in a little too early as kick off was delayed a bit due to all things going on.

Once the ball was kicked off it has been pretty much normal football.

I'll probably tune out for half time and pick back up 3rd quarter.

I hope week 1 is the bulk of it and at minimum football can return to normal next week and beyond.

Pretty sure people are watching who said they won’t watch. It’s the NFL after all.

    I noticed the tshirts too.

I’m just glad football is back. Gives me a sense of “normalcy”
