Alright guys, let’s do the Group Me app then! It free so you’ll just need to download it to your phone or tablet. I’ve set up a page for us. This will be a simple way to communicate if that’s what you’re looking for. I’ve found this competition is more fun when we share some stories and get to know what’s going on while you hunt. Here’s the link.

You're invited to my new group 'Team 20-Da Turdy Pointer' on GroupMe. Click here to join: https://groupme.com/join_group/62228330/iZFMpXtW

I will join shortly. Heading out to Richland County, Wi in the morning. Check a couple cams and setup the new Stealth Cam cell.

I see you have a team name. If/when you've selected a captain please send me a PM letting me know who it is so I can update the Official Teams List.

    Thanks.

So what are you guys doing in the last couple weeks before season to get ready?

I have a buddy who’s making me 3 lightweight “beast sticks”. I’m hoping to get those soon so I can practice my set up. Previous two years I’ve used climbing spurs to get up the tree but those things make me nervous. Had a couple gaff outs and even though I had a lineman’s belt on, I still was scared. So sticks it is.

I’ve got a cell camera hanging over a nice big white oak that has acorns. In fact it’s the only white oak around that has acorns and it’s on the edge of an alfalfa field. So that may end up being a good early season play. Also have another property with standing corn and a bunch of loaded white oaks right next to it. So early season I’m hoping to capitalize on the mast and weather. Season comes in Sept 26 in Ohio.

Other than that, I’ll be getting my clothes and gear prepped this week and should be good to go!

    Update from my lease.
    Hurricane Laura did us dirty.

was not able to get to two of my locations with my UTV. Didn’t accomplish anything there yesterday, basically was there to assess damages and will regroup once we have more guys to come help out on the lease.

Wow man, that’s some rough damage. Hopefully you have enough time to get it all ready to roll.

Yes, yes it is! I guarantee you I'm happier to see you check in than your teammates are.

Also, @SheddingLightTravis, could you edit your original team post to show who has and hasn't checked in so I have some idea of where you're at?

Dad can’t be out all day in cold weather anymore so in addition to the 6 houses we have at our cabin I thought he would like a couple close to home for some comfortable late season sits.

Windows coming for 4 x 4.......paint and some interior touch ups and we’re good to go.

It poured rain for the 2 days I was in the western part of the state of Wisconsin. I manage to check a cam that was closer to the farm house and got a nice little daytime movement. Lets hope he moves during daylight during bow season. Wi opener starts tomorrow. 10pt.JPG 10pt1.JPG
