One thing new for me this year is trying a Brassica food plot. My buddy has 20 acres that is mostly open and not really covered up in deer, but the surrounding property is all beans and loaded with deer. So I put in a fall plot next to a clover plot hoping to be a draw after the beans are gone. It's only about 1/2 acre total of food (2 1/4 acre plots). We had no rain for about 10 days after planting, but have since gotten good rain; I'm curious how it is doing. I'll find out in a bit, since that is where I'm going dove hunting in about 10 minutes. I'll check in after a while though. Maybe some pics.

Story: the land was sold at the beginning of the year and someone from California bought it and plans on moving here next year. I found him on Facebook and finally got the courage up to ask him and he was extremely nice and is going to let me go on to his farm! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I watched what I believed to be this deer twice last November chasing a doe on the ridge that conjoins my ridge. Had to sit there and watch as he never crossed the fence. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
