Yeah, I’ve been on teams where we have used WhatsApp or some other chat platform. Worked better than checking the app every 5 minutes. Also b4b for captain.
It’s definitely better for keeping everyone engaged. Being reminded we exist with phone notifications and being able to keep people motivated is nice. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hi Everyone, Ben Here. I hunt public land in SE MN. I had a bad season last year were I lost 2 deer. I have since switched up my arrows, broadheads, re-tuned everything and spent hours in the backyard getting my confidence back. Feeling good about the year, I can take up to 3 deer in my zone, so hoping to drop a doe early in the year. I am taking my 11 year old son out for youth season, so my big buck adventures won't really start until the end of Oct/first of November. I agree with Bowhunt4abuck, if we want to win this the key is for everyone to take a doe and then for about half to get pretty decent bucks. That would get us to the top 3 at least.
Welcome Ben! I don’t want to say I’m guaranteed a doe because nothing is guaranteed but I should have a few chances at least. Bucks who knows what is gona happen but I’m gona give it a honest effort that’s for sure lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Bowhunt4abuck has my vote as well for team captain. Y’all are talking my language I love shooting does. I will also do my part to stay involved in this team and in this contest.
Got my vote for captain! Doe usually isn't a problem, been a while since I killed a decent buck with bow or gun. Hoping I'm due this year.
Hey guys checking in here! I'm JP. I am a Nurse Practitioner in Neurology up here in Cleveland OH. I hunt a mix of public and private land. Got a farm near Wooster that a buddy got us permission on as well as some farmland in Morrow county that is owned by a friend from the church I grew up in. I will probably try to hunt mostly weekends in the Wooster property and then I took 2 weeks off beginning of November to hit morrow county hard. I may not do any public land this year but I guess depending on timing and the winds I may sit a few spots I scouted this summer. I hunted hard last year and participated on Team 4 as seen by my current avatar. Went to Northern Wisconsin and hunted some public land. No luck, but I did have a close encounter with a 4 point on the ground. I can tell you the full story sometime if you guys need some campfire stories while we wait to sling some arrows this year. Super pumped here, OH opens up on 9/26. Also bowhunt4abuck has my vote for captain, and I agree that a group message somewhere would keep me motivated. I dropped out of contact last year after my failure in WI due to the discouragement but maybe texting people would have kept my head in it more. here's to a good season --JP P.S. Anyone good at designing a new avatar?
I have been struggling with try to come up with something with 7 but I’m drawing a blank. I am not the guy to design a avatar lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hello JP, if that’s the case we definitely need to get you in a secondary platform. Anyone have any suggestions other than just a group text? And is everyone on board with joining? Friendly motivation to keep hunting is one of the best things about this forum and advice on how to get the job done. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
You I’m game with a group text. Just let me know. Maybe lucky number 7 idk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah this is the only thing I keep coming back to, I can't think of anything hunting related to go with the number 7
That would probably piss off the returning champs, luck #13 lol maybe “the real lucky #7” Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
7 Deadly Pins (Avatar would be a 7 pinned bow site, not that I ever have used one lol). I'm not in love with it, just throwing things out when they come
