    I thought day drinking was like 9am on and regular drinking was from noon on. If you start later than 6pm, it doesn’t count at all.

    Think it depends on the events of the day.

    When I used to go canoeing every year I could wake up and pop a beer at 7:30 after a bath in the 40 degree river. Sitting at home I'd put it closer to 11am

    So the one family group of the guests drove their big tour bus RV up. Guess what that POS is still in my cul de sac. Their rams would not retract so they were here all day yesterday into the evening I was out desperately trying to help get the damn thing working so they would get the hell out. Ruined what was a promising start to day drinking.

    OMG YES I'm sitting here laughing and shaking my head. When you said you bought a lake home I quietly said ...poor s.o.b.
    Before our first house buy hubby tried getting me to say yes to a lake house. NO WAY!!!!!! He grew up in a family tbat rented lake houses. I knew what was going to happen. I won't even rent one. The kids have been trying to get us to buy one.. and why would that be????
    I lived on a lake....EVERY ONE is a close freind suddenly, and you hear from third cousins twice removed. Then love them but your kids have friends as well.
    I know you bought for your family. God Bless ya, lake life is easiest....in the dead of winter Good luck the first few summers are usually the worst ,until you get those excuses honed
    Oh almost forgot....drive way alarms and or security video.....that gives you enough time to ...hide....lol
