First year doing the contest. Last year I shot a 132 inch buck. This year I am looking for something bigger. This is my best picture this year
I'm Joe, 43, live in RI, but hunt public land in CT. I'm a full-time student in Grad school, and I'm hoping to get at least 2 days a week to hunt this season. CT season opens on September 16th and ends on November 17th. I can't promise any points, but I can promise to constantly communicate with the team. This year I'm in the best position to put a big buck on the ground. I'm finally going to be able to traverse to the deep spots where the bucks hide thanks to switching to a saddle. My load went from almost 30 pounds (Climber, harness, tree rope, gear bag, bow) down to under 12 pounds. I've been getting in shape the past month and am ready to go the distance. I've scouted the area last summer and know exactly where to be and when to be there. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Communication within the team thread makes a team successful and enjoyable! I hope this team is full of talkative people!! Nominations for team captain?? (Not me, I won't have time once school starts..today actually) Team name ideas?
Jake checking in. Great to see some well known/real active members on the team! I'm from central MN and will be hunting the family farm again this year (50 acres). I should have a lot more time to hunt this year because I'm now working from home through the end of the year and the land is a mile from the house. Our season starts Sept 19 and runs through the end of the year. I've posted most of the deer I'm after this year in the Live from the stand thread, but I'll post them in here shortly. Hello Everyone! My name is Josh, 24 and I am from Pennsylvania. I am really looking forward to getting to know you guys better. Oct 3rd is the opener here! I am super excited this season, mainly because I am going to be hunting with my cousin this year, its his first season(he is 13) and its been great showing him how to scout and prepare for the this years hunt. I will also be taking my recurve into the woods for the first time. I am really hoping to take a doe with it early. I'll be pulling a few cards today, I'll share the results later.
