    Hope to start shooting here in about 3 weeks, I generally have shots 30 yards or less and most are 15 or less so not too worried about only a couple weeks practice. Probably won't get out, unless its pretty cool, during October.

    Got out and did a little scouting yesterday, going to put a stand on the same ridge my dad and I have our best set “the killing tree” a public land tree that we’ve killed about 20 deer from over the years! Went out last night and found a spot that looks even better than that tree, I have two major deer trails that I will be sitting in between, ones about a 23 yard shot and the other is probably 17 yards. The tree has some cover but it’s up high so this is going to be a 25ft or more set up! Got a camera up there last night I’ll let it sit for a few weeks and see what’s on it!! Going down to MD next weekend to hang the rest of the stands

    It's starting to feel like fall is coming here in central MN. Every morning this week I've had to put a sweatshirt on. That's when I know fall is on the way. Soon enough the leaves will be falling and I will be sitting in a stand.

    I planted a couple of the butterfly variation in my flower bed this year but I put it in late. Not sure if it will pod in time to use this season.

    First LFTS post of 2020 and it is about gardening...how 2020 of me.

    Well my dad went and pulled a camera tonight that’s on stateland right by the house... never expected to get a picture of a deer of this caliber on PA gamelands in this area... IMG_3286.JPG

    I have made my mind up! I have one deer in mine I would take next weekend maybe two. If the opportunity comes I’m letting it fly! Pictures every morning of deer from 7-8:15 am and 12-1pm. If anything it will be nice to film them and be in the stand!
