I see the 2020 deer hunt contest, just wondering if this group throws together any other contests?? Here in BC, can arrow mulies, whitetail, moose, elk or damn near anything... anyone else interested? Maybe a predator contest? For cats, wolves or yotes maybe bears??

    Thoughts? And... GO!

I did a fantasy bow hunting thing with my buddies on the lease last year and created a point system for each type of animal you could kill during the season with a bow. It was pretty fun and winner got $75 to the local archery shop.

I was a member of an Arkansas hunting site for a while and they had a cool contest. It went something like this:

Buck: 5 points for each scoreable point
    Doe: 30 points
    Turkey: 25 points
    Coyote: 20 points
    Raccoon: 15 points
    Armadillo: 10 points
    Squirrel: 5 points
Chipmunk: 20 points (good luck hitting one)

Edit to say: I didn't really participate because I don't normally shoot animals that aren't my primary quarry. (I do make an occasional exception when one really pisses me off.)

A few more uploads, a couple beats hanging around, keeping the deer away! Will resolve that very soon!

I was in the stand one morning last season and a big old horned Owl landed on a branch in the next tree over right at eye level to me. He sat there for about an hour just chilling and watching me... It was pretty cool and gave me something to watch since the deer were boycotting that neck of the woods that morning. I like owls so I didn’t shoot him but the “I wonder what he would taste like?” And “I’d really like to try it” thoughts did cross my mind several times.

Tastes like a cross between spotted seal and red tail hawk.

Probably closer to bald eagle, it is a bird of prey after all
