I’m hoping to take one big enough this year worthy of a shoulder mount

Been making some food plots with the new tractor. Think I might make some more. Stoked, cant wait for the NJ opener in September and the VT opener in October. I'll have a card pull in two weeks from NJ, should he some nice bucks on film. 20200801_071418.jpg 20200801_071428.jpg 20200801_073337.jpg

I’d love to also, but it’s going to take a heck of a buck for me to get another shoulder mount.

I’ve only had one buck mounted and I’ve regretted it ever since.

It’ll take at least a 150” buck for me to take it to a taxidermist.

    Hey, it could happen.

Wow! What do you estimate the inside spread is gonna be on him?

He is young and thin, no mass on his antlers. Hopefully he makes it thru this year.

I feel like if I could just pass up these 120”-130” o might get a chance at a 140-150. But it’s hard to pass those guys up especially if you haven’t been seein 150. Lol IMG_2339.JPG hard to see but if you zoom in a little. I think that buck has the potential to be that 140” I want

He might. That’s a big profile on that rack.

I already know that I won’t pass up a 130” buck even if I know there is a bigger one in the area.

I’ll just hope the big boy shows up first.

The anticipation of season opener is worse then ever before this year! You think it would be the brand new set up with some new stand locations but it’s not!.... okay maybe a little lol, my oldest daughter will be in the tree this year shooting compound for her first deer, and my 13 ye old daughter using the cross bow on the ground for her first deer as well!

He is 21"+ wide. I have an 27" wide mule deer on my wall and an 18" wide white tail. From that picture, judging ear width, I am guessing is close to being right the middle of 18-27".

Adam, do me a favor and give me a guess on how wide you think Ghost is in the pic I posted on my thread. My son-in-law guesses 20 - 22".

It is hard to say with that left ear back. If it was forward, it would be easier to tell. I am guessing he is 18"-19" inside. But that left main beam curves around so much it could be wider. I am guessing his tip-to-tip spread is around 14."

Thanks. I was guessing his inside spread at around 19. When Josh said 20-22" wide he might have been talking outside. Either way he's a definite shooter.

I guess the best thing to do is kill him and put a tape on him. :tu:
